The island of Jersey

Discover the beauty and excitement that Jersey has to offer

Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands, a distinctive collection of British islands located between France and England.

Breathtaking beaches with golden sands and rocky landscapes define the coastline, providing a haven for outdoor living. Remnants of Jersey’s unique history can be seen from its castles, Napoleonic fortresses and World War II fortifications along the coastline and Neolithic burial sites found amongst the lush inland countryside.

The lively main town of St Helier has a pedestrianised area with shops for varying tastes and plenty of restaurants serving local seafood and international cuisines.

The island provides a warm and welcoming setting for our English courses, with locals known for their open & friendly attitude. Although it is relatively small, it has a sizeable international population and varied tourist attractions.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME

The social programme plays an important part in the programme, giving students the opportunity to discover what the island has to offer, meet people from around the world and practise English in an informal setting.

On an island with such an abundance of clean and well lifeguarded beaches, watersports are an obvious choice for our summer activity programme for juniors. Jersey’s rich heritage has also not been overlooked, with year-round cultural visits to our historic castles, Jersey Zoo & Neolithic dolmens.

Jersey’s heritage and varied natural environment allow for a broad and unparalleled leisure programme for adults. The striking coastline is a key feature with breathtaking coastal walks and castles included regularly, along with other attractions, such as Neolithic dolmens & museums.
