School reopening

School reopening

Welcoming students back to the island of Jersey this July

Jersey’s government has announced that borders will reopen from 3rd July 2020. Upon arrival in Jersey airport or harbour, visitors over the age of 11 years will be required to take a coronavirus test. This will be free of charge for visitors until at least 31st August 2020. The results will be available within 12-48 hours. Visitors are not required to quarantine during this time but are expected to minimise contact with others. If you would like to find out more about these measures, please download the Government of Jersey’s Safer Travel information.

We’re delighted to announce that face-to-face lessons will resume at St Brelade’s College on the 20th July! Our teachers and office staff have adapted very well to providing online classes in the past months but we’re grateful to continue with face-to-face teaching.

New measures are now in place at the school and residence, in order to provide safe study, work & leisure environments for students and staff. We have staggered break & meal times, adapted activity & social programmes, increased cleaning, provide hand sanitisers at various points, along with a range of other precautions. If you would like to find out more about these measures, please see our COVID-Secure information.

Don’t worry, if you have an online English course booked, we will be continuing these too. We have a range of courses available and classes at different times of day. We’re also offering a free online trial lesson, if you’re unsure of whether it is right for you.

Contact us if you would like to know more about our courses in Jersey or online this summer. We look forward to welcoming you back to our school in Jersey!
